Founded in Paris in 1981 with the aim of bringing all people who love to make music onto the streets, FETE has also established itself as a major event in Berlin since 1995, with over 700 individual events taking place. Berlin 29th May – 1st June 2020 Since 1996 the Carnival of Cultures has been celebrated in Kreuzberg in a colourful way. Thousands of people sing, dance, clap or simply marvel at the variety that moves along the streets on floats, with dancers and musicians from all parts of the world.
20th September 2020 In September 1954, the first World Children’s Day was established by the United Nations. The aim was to draw attention to the rights of children and to stand up for those rights. A matter that has lost none of its urgency! To date, 145 member states celebrate Children’s Day. In Germany, World Children’s Day is traditionally celebrated on 20 September.
