Online registration for the operation of a sales stand at the

LUCIA Weihnachtsmarkt 2025

The contract between the applicant (tenant) and the organizer/lessor is concluded when a booking confirmation is issued or an invoice is sent after the organizer/lessor has checked the information provided.

Event information
The Lucia Christmas Market will take place from Monday 24 November to Sunday 22 December 2025 in Courtyard 1 and Courtyard 2 of the KulturBrauerei.
The organizer is KETERING GmbH. The allocation of sales stand spaces is carried out exclusively by Ketering GmbH.

Price categories (plus 19% VAT) per day with 3 continous metres

Lucia-Taler (voucher) as means of payment for all stalls
The organizer will circulate vouchers in the form of the LUCIA-Taler with a value of €5 for Christmas parties and other occasions. During the LUCIA Christmas Market, the LUCIA-Talers are official means of payment and are therefore to be accepted by all stalls, credited in terms of value and, if necessary, change is to be given. On 21 December, the Lucia-Taler will be bought back by the organizer at a price of €5 per taler.

 
Heatable drinking water hoses/ heatable waste water hoses
All catering stands must be equipped with heatable drinking water hoses and heatable waste water hoses starting this year.
 
Market management/ Market regulations
The market management is entrusted with the implementation of the market. It is responsible for the implementation of the market regulations and the contractual regulations between the organizer and the market participants/tenants. Their instructions must be followed without fail!
By signing, the market participant/tenant accepts the market regulations as part of this application/contract.
 
Payment due date/ terms of payment
Following this registration, you will receive an invoice with the following payment terms after verification of the information:
The 1st half of the invoice amount is due on 6 October 2025.
The balance is due on 7 November 2025.
Only full payment of the invoice entitles you to participate in the Lucia Christmas Market.
By signing, the renter acknowledges that, in the event that the Christmas market cannot take place or is cancelled for reasons for which KETERING is not responsible, KETERING accepts no liability for expenses incurred by the renter. In such cases, the agreed stand rental payment will be due in full.

    3. Summary of Costs

    This sum is for orientation only. There may be deviations in the calculation of power and stand space. Special regulations e.g. for power over 10 kW are not yet taken into account.

    In order to protect against violations by the stand operator/ lessee of the regulations in Articles 2, 11 and 12 of the General Terms and Conditions as well as in case of soiling or damage to loan stands and pagoda tents, the organizer will charge a security deposit of 500,00 €.

    4. Other Necessary Information

    4.1 Fire Protection / Event Safety

    Materials from which the decorations are made must be flame-retardant (according to DIN 4102 or EN 13501-1) or made of planed wood. Small bast and straw mats as well as fabrics and decorative parts can be made flame-retardant afterwards by brushing or spraying with appropriate approved impregnating agents. For large-area decorative elements such as side walls or roofs, easily flammable materials such as paper, cardboard and reed are generally not permitted due to the high fire risk. The filling capacities of adjacent units (distance <60 cm) are added together.

    An ABC fire extinguisher (6kg) is mandatory for all stands! Stands with deep fat fryers, woks or deep fat fryers also require an ABF fat fire extinguisher (6 litres). Stands with charcoal grills or open fires also require an AB foam extinguisher (6 litres).

    Gas testing according to regulation DGUV 110-010

    Please note that this registration can only be processed, and participation therefore only possible, if a copy of the test certificate with recognisable assignment to the tested device is uploaded under point 5.3.2!

    The inspection of mobile liquid gas systems can be carried out at any specialist company by a person authorised to carry out inspections in accordance with BetrSichV (TRBS 1203). The gas system is checked by the qualified person for leaks, proper condition, function and functionality of the safety devices. E.g. for:

    On the set-up day before the start of the Christmas market (Monday 24th November between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.), the person responsible for the stand must personally verify the proper condition of the operational gas system on site. The original report on the inspection of the liquid gas system must be submitted!

    Electrical testing according to DGUV regulation 3

    Please note that this application can only be processed and participation is only possible if a copy of the test certificate with recognisable assignment to the tested device is submitted!

    The testing of mobile electrical systems and equipment can be carried out at any specialist company by a person authorised to test (in accordance with BetrSichV, TRBS 1203). All electrical appliances (ovens, grills, refrigerators, cables, socket strips, lamps, fairy lights, kettles, etc.) must be tested for electrical safety by a qualified person in accordance with DIN VDE 0701-0702 in various individual tests (visual inspection, measurement, functional test).

    On the set-up day before the start of the Christmas market (Monday 24th November between 10 a.m. and 15 p.m.), the person responsible for the stand must personally verify the proper condition of the electrical systems and equipment on site (inspection sticker). The original inspection report must be submitted!

    Caution! CE labelling is not sufficient for commercial use (electrical appliances purchased from DIY stores, for example, must also be tested in accordance with DGUV V3).

    4.1.6 Heatable hoses

    It is mandatory for all catering stands to be equipped with heated drinking water hoses and heated waste water hoses.

          Fire safety inspection by the Berlin Fire Department

          The Berlin fire department will inspect fire safety before the event begins!

          The contract partner must ensure that a person responsible for the stand is present at the stand in person to verify the proper condition of all equipment (electrical systems and equipment, liquid gas systems) and can show the necessary test reports according to DGUV in the original. The tested fire extinguishers (!!! 6 kg !!!) of the required fire class must be presented ready to hand and ready for use.

          The stand may not be opened in the event of complaints or defects found by the Berlin Fire Department!

          With the following signature I agree the market regulations and that my name, the name of my shop or stand and a contact address (website and/or email) may appear on the website of Ketering GmbH or the Lucia Christmas Market.
